The transformation undergone by this listed Art Nouveau residence is truly remarkable. While the exterior facade of Villa Klainguti continues to radiate traditional charm, its interior now reveals unexpected new nuances that distinctly bear the Studio C signature, particularly evident in the colour and lighting schemes, the thoughtfully selected furniture, and the addition of a petite spa.

The history of the Klainguti family, an esteemed patrician lineage of Pontresina, is intrinsically intertwined with the Villa. Although the stately building may project an air of formality from the outside, it was, at its core, a beloved family home. Generations of parents, children, and grandchildren grew up within its walls, and the project developer himself was born here. Consequently, it was primarily the traces of familial life that made the renovation a captivating voyage of discovery. Take the typical "height chart" on the upper floor, for instance: a common sight on walls or door frames in family homes around the globe, where parents proudly mark their children's grow; or
the antique wallpapers that adorn the walls as silent witnesses to bygone eras; the precious Japanese vase that recounts tales of the family's adventures to distant lands ... These details are not mere relics of the past; they eloquently recount personal life stories.

For Studio C, the imperative was to harmoniously blend preservation with rejuvenation and breathe fresh vitality into the existing structure through contemporary additions. The result is a fusion of tradition and innovative design, infusing the historic villa with renewed vigour.
