Located on the top floor of a mixed-use development with two buildings, this 250-square-meter apartment was created by merging five smaller units. Saying it 'saw the light of day' in the heart of St. Moritz is not just poetic but reality. Transforming the originally angular spaces with their dark corners and outdated paneling into a light-filled home was central to the client's vision.
Numerous modifications—including floor-to-ceiling windows, translucent balcony railings, and a glazed fireplace—were necessary to flood the interior with daylight. The colour and material concept from Studio C features plain elegance, enhanced by strategic colour accents. The kitchen showcases strong blue with dark gray elements and oak wood inserts. Dark natural stone, used almost throughout the living area and in the showers—including a separate dog shower—exudes exclusivity and durability. Warmth and openness are highlighted by the central glass-walled fireplace, the oak wood library, and the salmon-colored living room. Each sleeping area has its own color scheme, and the bathroom walls are finished with a seamless lime and marble powder coating, sealed with beeswax for a subtle shine.
The apartment's design emphasises noble yet welcoming simplicity, focusing on consistent alignment from the baseboards to the doors to the cabinet walls, seamlessly integrating all elements and fostering a unique harmony.
