“Satisfied Employees = Happy Guests” could be regarded as the fundamental principle behind this project, initiated at the request of the developers, whose goal was to create a genuine residential building for their hotel staff, offering more than just a roof over their heads but a welcoming home.

With a focus on prioritizing the well-being of the employees in the design concept, Studio C has furnished each housing unit with a contemporary and innovative interior. Despite its modular design, the layout offers residents ample space and opportunities to personalise their own living spaces. Through astute spatial planning and the use of special materials, they have crafted inviting living areas that exude functionality, style, and comfort in equal measure.

“Satisfied Employees = Happy Guests” could be regarded as the fundamental principle behind this project.

Externally, the building showcases a distinctive character that doesn't shy away from its surroundings but actively engages with them. It establishes connections with both the nearby industrial zone and the residential neighbourhood. The building's bold red hue pays homage to the former utility buildings, known as "Casa Cantonieri," that once lined the cantonal roads. These historic structures, once situated similarly to the employee residence today, served road maintenance purposes and can still be found in Italy.

The grid elements of the stair and balcony railings, as well as the floor-to-ceiling structural elements and exposed concrete base, honour the rugged charm of industrial aesthetics. It is this subtle fusion of industrial character with modern comfort that lends the employee residence its unique aesthetic and firmly embeds it within its environment.
